In my first year at UC Santa Cruz I collaborated with a friend to create Dreamlock, our first college game project for an introductory game design course
with Brenda Romero. Developed in Game Maker, Dreamlock is a puzzle platformer about a cute dinosaur trying to wake up from his zany dreams.
We collaborated on nearly aspect of this project (except the art, no one wants to see my art). This included designing platforming mechanics, level/puzzle concepts, the game's soundtrack, and the tacky (and definitely not last minute) sound effects.
While the 3 levels weren't quite the 50 (FIFTY!!) we had originally scoped, they were pretty polished, and fun to both play and look at. Our hard work was then recognized as we received an Honorable Mention in the course for the game!
